I was finally able to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey.  As a long-time SF junkie, I have been painfully overdue in viewing this.  I’ve read the book and its sequels, but I hadn’t gotten around to seeing this.  Until now.

As photographers, we often compliment others or receive compliments which refer to a photo or shot as being beautiful. But is this correct? Is there “so called” beauty in the colors and composition that make up a image? The Bible is not silent on the topic of beauty and since we have a film short in the critique forum presenting an argument against one of the many beauty lies of our culture, perhaps it’s a fitting subject to talk about.
